Its yearly I/O developer conference was cancelled by google on Tuesday amid concerns over Coronavirus outbreak. On Monday, the online giant had declared the cancellation of this Cloud Next 2020 conference that has been scheduled to operate from April 6 and instead opted for a virtual event.

The internet company added that they are currently researching”to evolve Google I/O to connect with and continue to construct our developer community”. This means Google will likely conduct a presentation.
The conference is just one of the major events of the company which attracts thousands of developers who get an opportunity to socialize with Google technology. Google generally utilizes the event to present new features of its Android OS, Google powered hardware including even updates and assistants such as Google Maps. The company stated who March 13 will refunds tickets bought for the 2020 event.

Formerly, Facebook opted for an internet demonstration of this event instead of face-to-face interaction at the conference center and cancelled its yearly F8 developers’ conference.
Google is among a growing number of tech companies to postpone, alter or cancel big events because of the coronavirus. Facebook said on Thursday that it canceled its annual F8 software developer conference. Google announced Monday that its Google Cloud Next 2020 event that was scheduled for April 6 through April 8 in San Francisco will now only be held virtually “out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our customers, partners, and employees.” It came after the company canceled its internal sales conference scheduled for Las Vegas in April and its Global News Initiative Summit scheduled for May in Sunnyvale, California.
Other events include the Yearly Game Developers Conference in San Francisco along with the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In reality, their launching events were cancelled by smartphone manufacturers in India as Coronavirus has attained India.
Xiaomi and Realme cancelled their Redmi Note 9 and Realme 6 series offline launching events.
