JioCinema will be able to stream content from the NBCUniversal (NBCU) portfolio, which includes Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio, Sky Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Bravo, and more, thanks to a multi-year agreement that NBCU and Viacom18 have announced.
Jio-Peacock-Universal Studios Deal
The Peacock-branded center will feature NBCU programs, which will begin streaming in June 2023. Users of JioCinema Premium will have access to these as well as the HBO, Max Original, and Warner Bros material that debuted earlier this month thanks to a partnership with Warner Bros Discovery.
Young Rock, The Lazarus Project, Peacock Originals like Bel-Air and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, as well as dramas and comedies from the extensive NBCU library, such as Downton Abbey, Suits, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and The Mindy Project, are just a few of the widely-liked shows.
Shows arriving on JioCinema
JioCinema will offer to stream for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, M3GAN, and films from the Jurassic, Bourne, Shrek, The Mummy, and Pitch Perfect franchises when it first launches.
Along with The Super Mario Bros., it will also stream films from the Despicable Me/Minions and Fast series, including the recently released Fast X. Future additions to the service include Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, according to the production company.
This is a huge deal that will offer Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ Hotstar in India fierce competition.
